Glossary

A few key terms from our trade, so we speak the same language.

General contractor

A single point of contact who designs and delivers an entire project, from study to handover.

Design & Build

An approach in which design and construction are carried out by the same party, for greater consistency and control.

Fit-out

The complete outfitting of a space: partitions, flooring, furniture, lighting and finishes.

All trades (TCE)

Every building trade involved on a site, coordinated by one person.

Design & engineering office

The team that turns an intention into technical drawings that are costed and buildable.
