The SOFRADAM story begins in 1995, in a thirty-square-metre workshop in the heart of Montpellier, beneath the Polygone shopping centre. Its founder, Lucien Badie-Cassagnet, a metalworker and blacksmith by trade, laid down a conviction that has never left us: a well-made place changes the way people work and live.
Our story
From a 30 sq m workshop to a complete craft.
Thirty years on, the workshop has become a company: a thousand-square-metre showroom, some forty staff, a complete craft running from design to handover. The scale has changed; the standard has not.

From father to son.
Lucien Badie-Cassagnet founded SOFRADAM in 1995; his son Ludovic, who joined the business back in 1993, carries the adventure on today. What passes from one generation to the next is the same thing: a passion for work done properly and an eye for detail.

From the first workshop to the first store.
Trained as a metalworker and blacksmith, Lucien Badie-Cassagnet turned his business into SOFRADAM in 1995. By 1998 the company had delivered its first store as a single all-trades contractor — a Celio at the Polygone — and made retail its speciality, fitting out shops for major brands such as Celio, Mango and Vanessa Bruno.
From retail to the complete craft.
Around 2014, SOFRADAM extended its skills into the office sector — workplaces, social spaces, design furniture — and fully took on the role of general contractor. Based in Mauguio and organised around its Contract and Design & Build divisions, the company opened its capital in 2021 to support its growth, without ever losing its family-business spirit.

The right gesture.
What sets us apart comes down to a few words: listening, high standards and an eye for detail. We prefer rightness to effect, material to decoration, longevity to trend.
That standard is handed down from one generation of the team to the next, from one site to the next. More than any technical know-how, it is what makes our projects consistent.
